Our 2023 event will be a celebration of the rich history of great music and memories for over three decades.
We invite you to help us ensure a successful and fitting send off for our wonderful Festival. Packages do not attract GST, and can be invoiced.

An ability to highlight your business or group as a contributing friend, with decal for window, logo use and digital & press highlights.

An opportunity to be a part of the branding for our outdoor space built to celebrate both the blues and the community, including stage mentions, logo use and full press inclusion.

Volunteers will receive a pass that allows access, where capacity allows, to community based venues – when they are not performing volunteer roles.
What will I be doing?
We need volunteers each day for the festival. You can help out in many ways that suit your particular skills and talents. Volunteers undertake roles including:
- Promoting and connecting visitors and the region
- Ensuring a safe and successful event
- Cleaning, supervising and general participation in the lead up, and across the weekend
How long is each shift?
Each shift is a minimum of 4 hours.
There are light refreshments at each venue supplied for all volunteers while on duty.
Will I receive any training?
The Festival hosts a Volunteer Information Night and a coordinator will keep you up to date with locations, shifts and communication necessary.
How do I find out if I have been selected to volunteer?
Once you have successfully completed a Volunteer Registration Form with all your relevant details, you will receive an email or letter of confirmation.
Should your application be successful, you will then receive notification via email and a copy of your roster at the Volunteer Information Night.

The Midnight Special ~ Community Art Project
We extend a warm invitation to all Wangaratta schools and community groups to be a part of The Midnight Special, a fun all ages visual arts workshop to mark and celebrate the final Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues.
Over the three decades of the festival Wangaratta schools and community have been involved in the festival through music of course, but also via visual art. This year, the final and Last Hurrah for the iconic festival is no exception.
Highly experienced Wangaratta visual art educator David Godkin is leading this final workshop titled The Midnight Special. It borrows from a traditional old blues song popularized by the artist Leadbelly (AKA Huddie Leadbetter). The simple, but fun drawing workshop will focus on musicians and trains.
The aim is to create a community work to display in selected Wangaratta CBD windows for the final festival.
Please, consider involving your school or group (or part of your school) for this last special occasion.
Where and when:
- St Bernards Primary School Wangaratta.
- 11th October 4.15-5.30 PM.
- No cost. Just bring your favourite drawing materials.
- All participants will receive a participation certificate for teacher PD purposes.
Can’t make that date?
A second workshop for general community will be held at Wangaratta Library meeting room October 12. 4.00-5.30pm.
